My art
This week we were learning about Tom Fedro a chicago artist. My walt was use painting techniques, and my success criteria is long brush strokes, use both sides of the brush, use bright colours, bold lines, tints and shades to show light direction. Have I used all of those things? The girl we were painting is called it girl. I enjoyed doing the bold the because we had to use thin brushes and I love using thin brushes. What I found challenging was drawing the actual it girl and blending. Next time I would change the colours.

Te kuri a Paoa.
This week we have been learning about Paoa and Kiwa through art. We had to do some experiments on blending pastel together to create colours, we figured out that blue and yellow made light green. We smudged lots of colours to make the fur and saddle look like the real colour. My favourite part was drawing young nicks head because we got to blend lots of colours together. The hardest part of all was designing the patterns up the top. I hope you like my post, This is my art of Te Kuri a Paoa.

Art/taking photos
We were looking in the Rerenga Awa to take photos of the native plants.
We did it on a cloudy day so we could get good lighting. We thought about how the light shone through the leaves. We also thought about what was in the background. We didn't want buildings or people in our photos.
It was hard to choose the right picture for the photo competition we are entering because I liked them all.
Have you ever taken photos of native plants using your chromebook before? What did you find tricky?
