Today our class was learning about the summer learning journey.

We had to register and complete the task.

I enjoyed colouring in the smoke.

What I found challenging was to match the colours.

Next time I would Change th colours.

Canva design.

Today for cybersmart we were learning how to use canva. Most of us already have used canva but today we were designing videos on three things we are proud of.

I enjoyed using canva and making my video.

What I found challenging was to find a picture that goes with my scentence.

Next time I would change the background.

Creative mind competion.

A while back I enterd the creative mind competion. There was four of us that enterd in my class and we were the only primary kids that enterd the competion! My mate actually won a prize. So this is the badge that I got for particapation. 

I enjoyed finding out that we get a badge as well!

Te Wiki o Te Reo Māori

Today I was learning about Māori language week.

We had to link the quiz that we did so you could try, it how did you go? We also made two sets of slides which are down below. One of them was a scavenger hunt  and the other was for cybersmart.

I enjoyed doing the motes and getting to help others with there Māori and doing the scavenger hunt.

What I found challenging was to try and pernounce the worlds logest place name.

Do I pernounce it well?

Next time I would try to pernounce the worlds longest place name better.

Kumara to the Waka - Gamefroot

For a while now my class have been learning how to use Gamefroot and coding. 

I enjoyed putting the music on my blog and getting to share my learning with others. 

What I found challenging was to get the music on my blog by myself so I got some help by Mrs Torrie. 

My digital object shows that I can code and that I can publish my Gamefroot and embed it on my blog.

This week for cybersmart we were coding on gamefroot,this game took ages for it because I am new to coding. I am pretty much done but I just need music in it and when I do that I will update it..  I enjoyed putting all the tiles in my levels. What I found challenging was to persevere and concentrate. A lot of the time hings did not work but I worked it out. My digital

My sprite.

This week for cybersmart been learning about sprites and how to create it. A sprite is like a character that you can put in games that you create on scratch. Cool right. I enjoyed picking all my colours for my character. And also hard at the same time. It was my first time using it so it is nt the best. I found challenging to draw in a straight line. I find it  tricky drawing on a computer. My digital object shows that I can create a sprite.

Past present future.

 Today I was learning how to get safe images off the web. I enjoyed matching the pictures. On one side there is the past. And we had to get our own present picture. We had to remember to get the images that are labeled for reuse. I enjoyed learning about the past and present it was awesome. I found challenging to get the right mote I always struggle with those sort of things. My digital object shows that I can embed my slide and get images that are labeled for reuse.

Summer learning.

Today I was learning about summer learning.

My new learning was that you could choose any subject.

I enjoyed learning about it.

I found it challenging to colour it in.

Creating pictures.

I chose a different colour because I did not like the plain brown so I made it a little more colorful.I can see  that in the original has the background darker than the brown on the jacket.I now that the lines are all wobbly and not straight.

Don't fall for fake

 Today I was learning about scams.

My new learning was if there is a scam on a site you can look for https.

I enjoyed making my slide.

I found it challenging to find my background.

 We have been learning to thinking critically about what we see and reed online.we learnt to look at the outline, shadow,the pose, the light direction and when you see my blog look closely to see if it is real or not.

Test

I would rather learn to surf. I want to learn to surf because on the television it looks real fun. It would be nice to do it because we have lots of good beaches in Gisborne.I want to learn all of the cool tricks that  they do  on the big waves.I would like to surf barrels on my cool surfboard.

Exploring blogs

 Today I was learning How to Explore Blogs to find information.

My new learning was Knowing how to see the number of blog posts  they  have done.

I enjoyed Exploring other peoples blogs.

I found it challenging to see how many countries have seen there blogs.

My digital learning object shows I can read blogs and find information, put the information into a table, embed my slides into my blog.

Next time I would change the background. And insert more pictures.

Kawa of Care

I was learning to take care of our chromebook. And being cyber smart.

My new learning was things like pencils or rubbers. If you leave one of them on your keyboard 
and you close your lid it could break your screen easy as that.

I found it hard to replace the image for my profile.

It was easy to change the background.

Jakob - Maths Quiz

In my class we were learning how to make a maths quiz and I thought it was really neat.

I enjoyed linking the slides because I haven't done it before.

I found it hard to write in  the speech bubbles on my correct & wrong slide.

My digital learning shows I can use google slides.

Next time I would put  more questions.

My name is Jakob. I am a Canadian so that means I am from Canada. I live with my mum and dad and a sister brother.

I am good at reading and writing. I enjoy doing  soccer and swimming. My challenges are moving some hire groups in swimming. My goal this year is to get better at maths.

My personal achievements are winning gold medals. And inspiring Michael Phelps.
