This week we have been learning to hook the readers attention. I amed to use lots of alliteration
which is having a sentence that starts with two or more words that start with the same letter. We only had to write the hook.
Has my story hooked you in? Do you want to read more? I enjoyed peer assessing with my mate James.
I found it challenging to remember what I am doing for my success criteria.
Squelch I walked onto the wet soggy rugby field.
I was ready to play. The whistle blew and the game started. Youch! Ahhh! We were clashing heads and dropping the slippery ball. It was freezing cold. I was an ice block. Every tackle looked like a huge doggy pile. We were clashing, crashing and smashing. I was left with a banged up head.

ReplyDeleteI think you did great with writing a hook. It really hooked me!
I think that you did a good job with making your hook very interesting. I see it has onomatipiea, adjectives, a simile and a metaphor! This is very impressive!
Was writing this hook tricky?
